Energy efficiency serves as a powerful and cost-effective tool for achieving sustainable energy future, he said adding improvements in this area can reduce the need for investment in energy infrastructure, cut energy bills, improve health of Energy Utilities, increase competitiveness in the Energy Sector and improve consumer welfare. “Solar street lighting and solar homes coupled with the introduction of energy efficient LEDs in all our lighting fixtures are expected to change the whole scenario,” the Governor said.
