The Regional Director for Municipal Administration R. Poongodi has directed the Attur municipal officials to take steps for the removal of encroachments in and around the bus stand in the town.
Ms. Poongodi conducted surprise inspection of the municipal bus stand and the areas in its vicinity on Wednesday evening. She inspected the bus bays, platforms, pay and use toilet block, temporary stalls functioning inside the bus stand etc. Later, she held discussion with G. Balachandran, Attur Municipal Commissioner, and other officials. She directed them to remove the encroachments at the exit point of the bus stand to ensure that the buses move out of the bus stand without any difficulty.
