Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and a small delegation of State leaders received AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi at Nanded airport in Maharashtra on Thursday evening.
Mr. Gandhi was enroute Nirmal town in Adilabad district to participate in padayatra and call on the families of farmers, who had committed suicide on Friday. The travel plans of Mr. Gandhi were changed at the last minute. While, he was scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad in the evening and drive down to Nirmal, the programme was modified where in he flew to Nanded in a special airplane.He later leftfor Nirmal amid tight security.
