Proposals invited for works under scheme

The district administration has invited proposals for carrying out works under the Self Sufficiency Scheme (SSS) that aimed at fulfilling basic amenities.

A press release from Collector V. Dakshinamoorthy said that the scheme has been implemented in the district from 2011-12 with one part of the project cost contributed by the people.

Under the scheme for 2015-16, facilities like creating of water bodies, cement concrete roads, tar-topped roads, construction of public distribution outlets, community halls, milk procurement centres, Anganwadi centres, noon meal centres, public libraries, construction of compound walls, maintenance of society properties, construction of integrated women’s sanitary complex, small brides, traffic island, sports ground, installing solar energy facilities, and water treatment plant can be taken up.

Those interested can select the work and finalise the cost and sent the report along with one-third of the cost as demand draft to ‘District Collector and Chairman, DRDA, Namakkal’.

The project would be forward to the government.
