Pollution Control Board officials suspended

The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board has suspended three officials from Vellore following the SIDCO estate tannery disaster in Ranipet.

S. Charles Rodriquez, Joint Chief Environmental Engineer, TNPCB, Vellore Zone, P. Kamaraj, District Environmental Engineer, Vellore and M. Muralidharan, Assistant Environmental Engineer, Vellore placed under suspension on Wednesday. They were summoned to TNPCB Head Office in Chennai and given the suspension orders personally on Wednesday.

S. Shanmugasundram was transferred from Tiruchi and posted as JEE, Vellore, A. Shanmugam was transferred from Madurai and posted as DEE, Vellore and L. Mohan was transferred from Tirupur South and posted as AEE, Vellore.
