A.G.Perarivalan, one of the life convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case lodged in Vellore central prison, has written to Maharashtra State Information Commission to fix a date for the disposal of his second appeal seeking to reveal details pertaining to premature release of Sanjay Dutt, a convict in 1993 Mumbai serial blast case.

K.Tholkappian, advocate of Perarivalan, told reporters that he has sought information on whether the prison or the State government consulted the Centre before deciding on premature release of Mr. Dutt.

In his letter Mr. Perarivalan said that details regarding Mr. Dutt’s premature release would be useful to claim parity in his premature release case pending before union government and Supreme Court.
