A property dispute took an ugly turn after an octogenarian was thrown out of the house he was residing in by his daughter in Hosur.

The video of men throwing out articles owned by the retired policemen went viral, sparking angry reactions.

Dhanraj, 80, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, was residing in the house in Moovendar Nagar in Hosur. He has two sons and a daughter Dhanalakshmi. The house was given by him to his daughter as a gift. Dhanalakshmi was living with her husband Bala Murali in the U.S.

Returned from the U.S.

According to sources, he went to stay with his daughter in the U.S. in 2008 after his wife passed away.

In 2014, he returned and started living with his sons. Trouble erupted when Dhanraj sought to reverse the gift deed.

On Monday, Dhanalakshmi along with her husband and some men threw out the Dhanraj’s personal belongings. Dhanraj’s son and daughter-in-law were seen defending the old man, who refused to move out even as he was dragged and thrown on the road.

Amidst the outrage, counter allegations of grabbing and forgery by Dhanraj were made by his daughter and son-in-law.
