New CBI office opened in Madurai

MADURAI

The Central Bureau of Investigation – Anti-Corruption Branch, Madurai, was inaugurated here on Thursday. CBI Director Alok Kumar Verma formally inaugurated the office located on Athikulam Main Road, in the presence of its Joint Director (Chennai Zone) Praveen Sinha.

The new office will have its jurisdiction over 15 districts in south and central zones of Tamil Nadu. Commissioner of Police Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, Collector Veera Raghava Rao, Chief Judicial Magistrate Sathiyamoorthy, Corporation Commissioner Aneesh Sekar, Principal General Manager, BSNL, S.E. Rajam and officials of various Central government organisations were present.
