MSO files complaint against Arasu Cable

A multi-system operator (MSO) providing cable television service in Tamil Nadu has alleged before the Madras High Court that the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable Television Corporation has illegally cut its cables and used them and its infrastructure to distribute the corporation's channels to cable operators in Coimbatore and Erode regions.

In the petition, the MSO, Kal Cables Pvt.Ltd., Mylapore here, said in respect of the Coimbatore region its licence was valid up to April next year.

The petitioner filed a complaint. But the authorities did not take any action. Hence, the present petition.

Justice N. Paul Vasanthakumar before whom the petition came up for hearing has adjourned the matter to September 12.
