Monkeys caught from school

Monkeys wandering at a private school premises ?on Mohanur Road were caught by forest officials in Namakkal on Wednesday.

As many as 35 monkeys that wandered on a private school premises on Mohanur Road were caught by Forest Department officials here on Wednesday.

During to presence of large number of trees in the area, monkeys wander on the school premises. Hence, the school administration informed the Forest Department officials that moneys were creating nuisances. Hence, a cage was placed and caught 35 monkeys were caught.

The monkeys were later let off in forest area in Kolli Hills.

Officials said that other monkeys in the area would also be caught and left off in the forest areas.

The incident caused panic among the students who gathered in large numbers after they were caught and caged.
