Medical camp for livestock

A medical camp for livestock will be organised here on May 29 and 30 by the Animal Husbandry department under the free livestock scheme.

Tests

The camp includes fertility test, breeding potential, general health, weight check and de-worming.

Beneficiaries

According to a release from the department of Animal Husbandry, a total of 17,484 goats were distributed to 4,371 beneficiaries and 150 cows were distributed to 150 beneficiaries in 2014-15. In Dharmapuri, a total of 16,965 beneficiaries have been given 4 goats each; and 600 beneficiaries have been given 600 cows from 2011-2012 to 2014-15. The medical camp will be held in all panchayats.
