Judicial custody extended

Judicial Magistrate No. 2 K. Rajesh Kannan on Friday extended the judicial custody of P. Arun (21), the second accused in the murder case of Dalit youth V. Gokulraj, by another seven days.

He asked the CB-CID team to produce him before court on November 6.

Driver

Arun was the car driver of S. Yuvaraj, the prime accused in the case, who went into hiding after the murder on June 24.

After Yuvaraj’s surrender on October 11, Arun surrendered before a Judicial Magistrate court in Karur on October 13.

He was produced in Namakkal court on October 15.

Chief Judicial Magistrate S. Malarmathy granted three days CB CID custody of Arun.
