The 6th edition of Writers and Artists International Film Festival organised by Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association is set for inauguration on Wednesday.
Screening of 22 international films from 12 countries would be part of the five-day festival at Arunachalam Cinema.
District Collector, K.S. Kandasamy would take part in the inaugural ceremony at 9.30 a.m.
Some of the films to be screened include, ‘Cold War’ from Hungary, ‘Summer with Monica’ from Sweden, ‘Loveless’ from Russia and ‘I dream in another language’ from Mexico, said M. Balaji, secretary of Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association.
Group discussions and meet with eminent artists are other features of this fest, he said.
