Impostors arrested

Two persons who claimed to be lawyers were arrested by Kotturpuram police for allegedly threatening a sub-inspector of police on Sunday night inside the Saidapet court complex. They were released on bail by the Station House Officer later.

Sub-inspector of police Soundararajan, with a few other police personnel, brought an accused to be produced before a magistrate court on Sunday evening. Two persons who claimed to be lawyers told the police party that they came to appear for their clients and asked the police to allow them to meet the accused.

Inside the court complex, the inebriated duo abused the police. The police identified that the duo — Maheshwaran, 32, and Ragupathi, 31.
