More than 150 police personnel from different police stations within the town limits, took out a motorcycle rally here on Thursday to create awareness of the importance of wearing helmets.

The rally started from Dindigul North police station and returned to the same spot after passing through Sub-Collector’s office Road, Salai Road, R.S. Road, Head Post office Road, AMC Road, RS Road, Clock Tower, Palani Road, Tiruchi Road and GH junction.

The police personnel distributed pamphlets and advised two-wheeler riders to wear helmets.

A similar rally was taken out by about 300 persons, including hundreds of police personnel in Palani. Flagged off by Palani RDO Geetha, the rally started from APA College and passed through prime roads in the town.
