The Hindu and Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Sathyamangalam, will jointly honour heads of schools that have scored cent per cent results in Plus Two public examinations with achievement awards on June 22.
The first of its kind function to be organised as part of The Hindu Newspaper In Education initiative will witness 72 headmasters of government higher secondary schools and two heads of Central Board of Secondary Education Schools receiving the awards in the presence of the Vice-Chairman of University Grants Commission H. Devaraj, Chief Educational Officer P. Ayyannan and BIT Chairman S.V. Balasubramaniam.
BIT Chief Executive A.M. Natarajan will present the awards during the event envisaged as a platform for exchange of ideas between school heads and educationists to bring about overall development in students’ knowledge.
With BIT as the title sponsor, The Hindu conceptualised the award function in recognition of Erode districts consistent performance in the public examinations.
