Girls outshine boys in Dharmapuri

The district has secured a pass percentage of 92.31 with only a marginal fall in the pass percentage of 93 from last year.

Girls have outsmarted boys with a pass percentage of 93.32, while boys have secured 91.24 per cent.

A total of 21 schools have secured cent per cent results from among the total 139 schools that had appeared in the Higher Secondary Board exams.

This includes three government schools from among the 97 government schools that had appeared in the exams.

A. Cheran Senguttuvan of Pachamuthu Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Dharmapuri, bagged the place of district topper with a score of 1,186 marks.

The district second place was shared between G. Dharani Dharan of Sri Vijay Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Dharmapuri; A. Vijay and B. Sathiya, of Jayam Vidhyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Harur, with 1,185 marks. District third place was bagged by K. Jothimeena of Pachamuthu Matriculation Higher Secondary School, with a score of 1,185 marks.

U.M. Soundariya of Sri Vijaya Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, A.Reddihalli, Dharmapuri, bagged the district overall topper with a total of 1,187 marks with Hindi as the second language.

The first three toppers from government schools are A. Abhimannan, Government Higher Secondary School, Krishnapuram, with 1148 marks; P. Deepika, of Government Higher Secondary School, Jaalipudur with 1145 marks, and Arul of Government Higher Secondary School, Elagiri, with 1136 marks.

Among the government schools in the district, the Government Higher Secondary School, Irumathur, Dharmapuri; Model Schools, Karimangalam; and Model School, Dharmapuri bagged the honours of securing cent per cent results.
