As many as 60 beneficiaries were given Rs.5,000 each for construction of toilets in their homes under the Swachch Bharat Scheme (Clean India scheme) through the Panchayat Level Federations and Women SHGs on Tuesday.
Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan gave away cheques to the beneficiaries in the presence of S. Suresh, Project Director, Mahalir Thittam, P. Periyasamy, Project Director, District Rural Development Agency, and Assistant Project Director of Mahalir Thittam P. Anthony Siluvai and others. Everybody should cooperate with the district administration for the scheme, a release said.
