An Emirates Airline flight operating on the Dubai-Singapore Sector, on Thursday, was diverted to Chennai early in the morning after an in-flight medical emergency.
The twin-engine aircraft, a Boeing 777-300ER, had crossed Visakhapatnam and was over the Bay of Bengal when the incident happened around 2.45 a.m. The flight was then diverted to Chennai and landed at 3.40 a.m.
A spokesperson for the airline said, “Emirates can confirm that its flight EK432 was diverted due to an onboard medical emergency. The passenger received medical attention upon landing, and the flight continued onward to its final destination.”
The aircraft took off for Singapore Changi at 4.50 a.m.
