Five health centres to be upgraded

Coimbatore Corporation will upgrade five urban health centres - one each a zone, said a release issued here on Wednesday. Following the permission given to upgrade the health centres and sanction of ₹ 15 lakh for the purpose, the civic body would immediately take up the work.

It would also expedite the refurbishment and construction of primary health centres in the added areas in both the old and added areas of the city under the Central Government's National Urban Health Mission.

The release added that the officials also reviewed the progress made in upgrading the other primary health centres under the Mission.
