Five fishermen rescued

Five fishermen, who were stranded in the sea after their boat had capsized, were rescued by a batch of another fishermen on Sunday. According to police, the fishermen, Chandru (24), Satish (32), Selvam (32), Kumar (47) and Pakkirisamy (45) who ventured into the sea from Jagadapattinam on Saturday, were stranded in the mid-sea as their boat had capsized due to strong winds. A group of fishermen led by Moorthy, who were fishing nearby, immediately rushed to their rescue and brought them to the shore. They reached Jagadapattinam on Sunday.
