Exhibition of products made by self-help groups

A two-day exhibition-cum-sale of products manufactured by women self-help groups would be held in Bose Maidan on January 19 and 20.

Mayor S. Soundappan would inaugurate the exhibition that would have 34 stalls, including 17 by Corporation and 17 by Municipal Administration, Salem Zone.

Products include food items made from herbs, readymade garments, bedspreads, saris and cosmetics.

The quality products are said to be cost effective.

The Mayor would inaugurate the exhibition at 10 a.m. in the presence of Deputy Mayor M. Natesan, Zone chairmen, councillors, Corporation employees and others. People are requested to utilise the opportunity, according to a press release from Corporation Commissioner K.R. Selvaraj.
