A large number of devotees from Tiruchengode town and surrounding areas were engaged in making garlands for Tirumala- Tirupathi Brahmotsavam.

About seven tonnes of flowers such as sambangi, yellow and red saamanthi, marikozhundhu, and marigold were brought from Tiruchengode, Salem, Konganapuram, Rasipuram, and Attur.

The event was organised by the Konganapuram based Tirumalai Tirupati Sriman Narayana Nithya Pushpa Kaingarya Saba Trust. Along with the flower garlands, tender coconut, and sugarcane were sent to the hill temple, where the Brahmothsavam is slated for Tuesday. The lorry transporting the garlands was flagged off from Tiruchengode in the evening.
