A youth who had come to attend special bhajan drowned in the Cauvery at Govindapuram near here on Saturday. Police said a group of devotees from Bengaluru were participating in bhajan events in the Kumbakonam neighbourhood when a section of them went to the Cauvery near Govindapuram for a bath.
When they came ashore, they found that two among them were missing and started searching for them. The body of M. Raghavan (20) of Bengaluru was found floating some distance away while the fate of a youth Guru (16) of Hosur who went missing was not yet known.
