A life convict, who jumped parole, surrendered in the court here on Monday.

‘Aramukkan’ Selvan (45) of Kuranguchavadi, a history-sheeter with over 20 cases, including murder and abduction, was handed a life sentence by a Salem court in a murder case in 2010.

Selvan was granted parole by the Salem Central Prison authorities from September 20 to October 4. He did not report at the prison on October 5.

However, he surrendered at the court on October 11. Later, he gave a slip from the court premises after giving statement.

Selvan surrendered in the Judicial Magistrate Court on Monday. He was remanded in judicial custody.
