Two persons, including a police constable, were arrested for a clash in a hotel in Vembanur near Vellichandai in Kanyakumari district on Thursday.

It was alleged that T. Sathyakumar (46), a constable attached to Colachel police station, along with his friend K. Velappan (50) of Vembanur went to the hotel of V. Geetha in Vembanur in an inebriated condition and created a flutter.

The constable had allegedly used filthy words against the woman and threatened her with dire consequences.

On a complaint lodged by Geetha, Vellichandai police arrested the duo.

A magistrate court remanded them in judicial custody on Friday.
