Computer training course commences

The second batch of the computer training course sponsored by Tata International commenced at a school in Somangalam near Padappai in Kancheepuram district last week.

According to a press release, volunteers from Tata International would be imparting professional training to students of class IX at the school, in MS Office Suite 2007 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Outlook. In the first batch, thirty students and eight teachers were trained as the training was provided as an additional course to the students apart from the regular school syllabus, the release added.
