Complaint against Kushboo

The Karnataka State secretary of the AIADMK has submitted a complaint to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, seeking to punish actor Kushboo for allegedly making a defamatory statement against him. Va.Pugazhendi of Arumbakkam stated that his party won the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections with a thumping majority. He had worked for the AIADMK's victory.

The actor, who had canvassed for the DMK, had given an interview to a Tamil daily, published on May 15, stating that the people of Tamil Nadu, “have lost and they are going to suffer for the next five years.”

The complainant alleged that this statement had affected his reputation among the people of other States. The matter will come up on June 16.
