Over 120 delegates participated in the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme on ‘Wound Management’ organised by Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre (SNHRC), Vellore in collaboration with the APHI (Association of Healthcare Providers India), Tamil Nadu chapter, Indian Medical Association (IMA), Vellore branch and Christian Medical College, Vellore here on Thursday.
Objective
The objective of the CME Programme was to help surgeons, clinicians and nursing staff to update their skills on `Wound Management’ which is becoming increasingly important due to increasing number diabetes-based foot amputations, bed sores caused by prolonged illness, bed-ridden status of patients, and burns.
Dr. K. Ravindran, Vice-Chancellor, Chettinad Academy of Health Sciences and University and president of APHI-Tamil Nadu chapter delivered the keynote address.
Dr. Prem Nair, Director of Amirtha Institute of Medical Sciences and Medical Sciences, Kochi and national president of APHI chaired the inaugural session.
