A special court for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) cases issued an arrest warrant against Sukesh alias Sukesh Chandrashekar on Friday for not appearing in a multi-crore fraud case instituted in 2014.

Impersonation charge

Sukesh was arrested by the Delhi Police last week on charges of impersonating a Member of Parliament and conspiring with AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran to obtain a favourable order in connection with a petition pending before the Election Commission, involving the party’s ‘Two Leaves’ symbol.

When the case came up for hearing in the court of the XIth Additional Special Judge for CBI cases K. Venkatasamy, the prime accused did not appear.

The judge issued an arrest warrant against Sukesh and directed the investigation officer to produce him on the next date of hearing.
