A 42-year-old engineer was murdered in Omalur here on Friday.
N. Suresh was working at BHEL at Tiruchy and was at home for vacation. His parents were residing with him at Jainagar in Omalur. On Thursday, Suresh was sleeping at the veranda while his father Natesan was sleeping inside the house. On Friday morning, Natesan found Suresh lying in a pool of blood with his throat slit. On information, Superintendent of Police G. Subbulakshmi and Omalur DSP Udayakumar rushed to the spot. Sniffer dog, and finger print experts were pressed into service. The body was taken to Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital and autopsy done.
It may be noted that Suresh was married twice. His first wife got divorced and is living in Chennai. Due to a dispute, his second wife is also living separately. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
