Applications invited

Applications are invited by the Education Department for admission of economically backward children to private schools under the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act. According to an administration release, children from economically backward families, with an annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2 lakh are eligible to apply for the 25 per cent quota in minority and self-financing educational institutions.

Applications will be distributed by the office of Chief Education Officer located in the Collectorate complex here, from May 3 to 18. Duly filled applications must be submitted to the office of the CEO by May 18, 5 p.m, the release said.
