Applications invited for Bharathi Yuva Kendra awards

Bharathi Yuva Kendra, Madurai, has invited applications from students of high/higher secondary schools in various districts in Tamil Nadu, and the Union Territory of Puducherry, who have obtained 80 per cent and above marks in the X standard and XII public examinations in the last three years (including the examinations held this year), and school students from LKG to Plus Two who have excelled in various arts such as music, academics, painting, sports, social work, Bharatanatyam, oratory and poetry, for the conferment of the Yuvasri Kala Bharathi Awards.

It has also invited applications from college students excelling in the above fields in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the Swamy Vivekanandar Awards. Shields bearing the images of poet Bharathi and Swami Vivekananda would be given to the respective awardees. A large size citation and spatika chain would also be given to the awardees.

According to a release from Nellai Balu, founder of Bharathi Yuva Kendra, awards would be given to 200 selected students from each district. The function to distribute the awards would be held in the respective districts.

Eligible students should apply, giving details of their name, residential address and telephone number, enclosing photocopies of their X standard/XII mark sheets and the photocopies of their prize certificates, along with a Rs. 10-stamped self-addressed cover to Mr. Nellai Balu, Founder, Bharathi Yuva Kendra, F-171, Santhi Sadan Colony, Kochadai, Madurai-625016 (cell no. 9442630815) within 30 days.

The details of the students selected for the awards and the date and venue of the awards function would be sent to the address of the selected students.
