District Collector V. Dakshinamoorthy has said that all the 5.02 lakh families in the district have bank account.

No one was left out during the special campaigns conducted under the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana scheme.

The Collector said that after the Prime Minister’s announcement during Independence Day celebrations, all the bank branches were asked to conduct special camps so that families without bank account can open new account.

Banks conducted a survey in each area and identified the non-account holders. Camps were held from August 18.
