November 20, 2012 03:49 am | Updated November 17, 2021 04:36 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday will decide the stand to be taken by its Members in Parliament on the no-confidence motion to be moved by the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) against the UPA-II regime on the first day of the session.

The winter session of Parliament will begin on Thursday (November 22).

Party sources in Chennai said a meeting of party MPs – nine in the Lok Sabha and five in the Rajya Sabha – scheduled for Tuesday will discuss the issue threadbare.

It will be presided over by party general secretary and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

“We have to see whether the no-confidence motion is for only opposing the FDI or it is general in nature to highlight the overall failure of the Manmohan Singh Government on various fronts,” they said.
