Aavin scam: conditional bail for two drivers

Two drivers named in the Aavin scam have been granted conditional bail by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court here.

Judge Saravanan in his pronouncement delivered on Friday directed the drivers, Salim and Durai, to affix their signatures in a register kept at the CBCID office here at 10.30 a.m. daily. They should do so till further orders. With this, 13 of the 19 persons named in the case are out on bail. The alleged mastermind Vaidyanathan and five others have been lodged in the Cuddalore Central Prison. It may be noted that a gang operating at Ooral village near Tindivanam were indulging in adulterating Aavin milk, being carried in tanker lorries to Chennai.
