Updated - September 23, 2016 02:44 am IST - CUDDALORE:

The authorities have made elaborate arrangements in view of Thai Poosam festival to be held on Sunday at Sathya Gnana Sabha in Vadalur.

Several thousands of people are likely to throng the Sathya Gnana Sabha, founded by Ramalinga Adigalar, popularly knows as “Vallalar,” at Vadalur to have “Jyothi Darshan” on the occasion of Thai Poosam .

The State Transport Corporation has been running special bus services from various parts of the State to Vadalur.

Jyothi Darshan

The Jyothi Darshan is considered as a special event by the followers of the Samarasa Sutha Sanmarga Sathya Sangam, because on that day all the seven screens of different hues in the Sabha would be removed one after another to reveal the holy lighted lamp kept in the sanctum sanctorum.

The “Jyothi Darshan” is allowed by the organisers at regular intervals: at 6 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 7 p.m., and 10 p.m., on Sunday and again at 6 a.m. on Monday.
