S.R. Mani Ayer, a veteran in the advertising field, passed away after a brief illness on Monday. He was 74.
Formerly Managing Director and CEO of Ogilvy & Mather India, Mr. Ayer was instrumental in bringing names such as Piyush Pandey to the fore.
Born on September 5, 1935, Mr. Ayer had over 45 years’ experience in the industry. He was Managing Director at Ogilvy between 1958 and 1994.
He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
