The luxury resort, which is spread around six acres features 34 comfortable and well-appointed rooms and suites, according to listings on travel sites. It offers facilities such as swimming pool with kids pool, sun beds, beach beds, lawn/gardens, water sports among others, and houses a floating restaurant.

According to sources in the real estate industry, the promoters of the resort own a group called Yogam Real Estates and Promoters Ltd. and now run by Yogesh Bakthavathsalam. On LinkedIn, he's listed as Admin Officer- Golden Bay Resorts on LinkedIn.

People contacted by The Hindu around the resort are not aware about any political links of the promoter’s family with the AIADMK.
