The Madras High Court has stayed all further proceedings on a complaint filed by Aladi Mahendran and others before the Orleanpet police station in Puducherry against Swami Nithyananda.

The interim injunction was granted by Justice C.T. Selvam.

Swami Nithyananda had moved the Madras High Court seeking anticipatory bail in three cases registered against him in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It was also alleged that the petitioner had insulted the religious feelings of Hindus. He claimed that the cases had been registered without proper verification of facts and that he was innocent and had nothing to do with the allegations.
