The Health Department has posted deans for 10 of the 15 medical colleges in Tamil Nadu, including two of the top government medical colleges in Chennai – Kilpauk Medical College and Stanley Medical College.
C. Vamsadhara has been transferred from her position as Dean at Vellore Medical College to Stanley Medical College. V. Kanakasabai, who held the post in-charge, has been posted as Dean, Kilpauk Medical College, and put in-charge of Salem Medical College.
P. Jayanthi has been moved from Tirunelveli Medical College to Theni Medical College. J. Ravishankar has been transferred from Tuticorin Medical College to Vellore. P. Mohanram will take over as Dean of Kanyakumari Medical College.
Thenmozhi Valli has been appointed Dean of Tuticorin Medical College. Valli Nayagam has been posted to head the Perambalur Medical College and Vatsala appointed to head the Theni Medical College.
Edwin Joe has been posted as Dean of Sivaganga Medical College. Karthikeyan will now head Madurai Medical College.
