Congress workers protest at being kept out of Rahul meeting venue

Congress workers on Wednesday staged a demonstration protesting the refusal of the Police to allow them into a venue where AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to address a youth congress meeting.

About 50 persons gathered on the arterial Anna Salai where the 'Kamaraj Arangam' - venue of the meeting - is located, disrupting peak hour traffic for about 15 minutes, police said. Later, police officials spoke to the agitating workers and allowed some of them in.
