CM extending schemes for all sections of society: Tuticorin Mayor

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi is extending a series of welfare schemes for the benefit of all sections of the society, said Mayor R. Kasthuri Thangam

Inaugurating a Varumun Kaapom health camp here on Thursday, she said that access to health care was being provided free of cost through camps like these for the poor. People should make use of the opportunity, she added.

A sum of Rs.6,000 each was given to a total of 240 beneficiaries under the Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Benefit Scheme on the occasion.

S. Thommai Yesuadiyan, Deputy Mayor, P. Kubendran, Commissioner of Corporation, S.A. Rajagopalan, Executive Engineer and other officials from the corporation were present.
