The Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials have made some modifications in the plan with regard to the construction of a centralised sub-station at the airport, following a delay in handing over the building belonging to the Defence.

Talking about the modifications a senior AAI officer said following the delay they have made a contingency plan excluding the defence land.

Work is now on at the available space, which would be enough to commission the new domestic terminal by the due date. The plan provided for the re-orientation of installation of equipment and cable trenches.
