A Krishna idol as gift for Modi

It was a day of special gifts for PM Narendra Modi. While he got a shawl from the Textiles Ministry with verses of poet Kabirdas weaved on it, CM Jayalalithaa gave him an exquisitely-carved wooden idol of Krishna.

Later, State BJP chief Tamilisai Soundararajan presented him a bouquet on behalf of actor Rajinikanth, who was not in Chennai on Friday.
