Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar, a JNU alumna, has written an open letter to the varsity’s student, Umar Khalid, who is wanted by the police in connection with a sedition case.
Ms. Bhaskar, who studied Sociology at the JNU, has questioned him for hiding from the police, saying that is being taken as the most incriminating evidence of his guilt of being a terror sympathiser.
“No, you are not a terrorist Umar Khalid...,” she said in the letter.
