Dissident Congress Minister Narayan Rane resigned from the Maharashtra Cabinet on Monday, after targeting both the party high command and Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. His resignation is yet to be accepted.
“I am upset with the high command. They promised me Chief Minister’s post six months after quitting the Shiv Sena but I have waited for nine years,” said Mr. Rane who joined the Congress in 2005 and retains a following in the Konkan region.
