Militants launched a grenade attack on the residence of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Wachi Aijaz Ahmad in Shopian on Thursday.
A police official said the grenade exploded on the premises of his residence at Zainapora.
“There was no report of any damage to life or the property,” said the official. Officials said neither the MLA nor his family were at the residence when the attack took place.
