Muzaffarnagar riots probe: Commission records statements of officials

The Commission probing the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots has recorded statements of several officials including the then additional district magistrate R.K. Shrivastava.

It also recorded the statement of sub-divisional magistrates of Baghpat on Wednesday.

The commission has recorded statements of more than 400 people including riots victims and officials in connection with the communal violence that rocked Muzaffarnagar and surrounding districts leaving at least 60 people dead while thousands of other were displaced.

The one-man inquiry commission of retired judge of Allahabad High Court Vishnu Sahai was constituted in September 2013.
