India's coastline can become engine of growth: PM Modi at Maritime Summit

Deals worth Rs. 82, 000 crore are expected to be signed during the 3-day summit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Maritime India Summit to be held at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre in Goregaon from April 14 to 16.

This is India's first ever Maritime Summit.

09: 27 am: Prime Minister Modi arrives at the venue, 15 minutes before his scheduled arrival.

09: 20 am: Kim Young-suk, Minister for Ocean and Fisheries, Republic of Korea is one of the delegates participating in the summit.

09: 15 am: The inaugural function of Maritime India Summit to begin at 10.25 am. The hall is packed with national and international delegates.
